I also, so clearly remember, when Jeanne was going through her loose photos and I saw a nice looking face on her floor and asked who he was. The look on her face said it all, she played it off, but it was clear, he was the love of her life, who slipped away. Months later, when she said, you know that guy…well…he lives in New Orleans now and he wants me to visit him…I knew it was on! This would be the trip that would rekindle a love and change their lives! I didn’t hesitate to say yes, when, soon after, she asked if it was cool if he moved in with us. He drove straight through and made it in less than 17 hours, and the rest, well, is history!

I love them both and am so thankful for their friendship and am so excited for them as they celebrated 10 years of marriage!
They are a great example of how powerful love can be, how teamwork and support can push you to be great, how idosycrasies can be embraced, and how life can be full of great food, cocktails, fun and laughter!

Congratulations, Jeanne & Ryan on ten years of marriage, and counting! I’m so happy we did this fun shoot to mark this special time in your lives!

His eyes are incredible! He was wide awake for a little while, then got comfy and dozed of!

Wrinkles, soft skin and hair…sweet baby details that you never want to forget! They grow too fast!

What an awesome big brother! Ryden has his back and will show him the ropes!

This shot was mama’s great idea! The MacMaster boys love to skateboard, Trevin will be doing his first kick flip in no time!

Pink or blue?? Everyone will just have to wait….I just love when I hear that a couple is choosing to be surprised! As much as the anticipation kills me, I think it’s so fun! We live in a world where everything is instant, automated, high speed, high tech, you can get a 4D ultrasound at fourteen weeks!! It just seems that so many things are expected and not much comes as a surprise, so it’s refreshing that Marilyn and Jason are choosing to go the old fashioned route and actually be surprised when their little one makes his/her debut into the world!
It was an honor to take such important photos for my good friends! Marilyn has one of cutest baby bumps I’ve ever seen! And this baby will be so blessed to have such amazing people to call mom and dad! I’m so happy for you two and I cannot wait to get that sweet text, “It’s a ____!!!”

It was a short and sweet ceremony with some of their closest friends and family and a celebration at their friend’s restaurant! The food and presentation was amazing by Thai Dishes, I experienced first hand how good it was and I can’t wait to go back!
Cathy’s dress and fascinator were handmade by her friend and the decor, with little touches of blue and orange, along with owls, made the day perfect and personal! The photo booth was a huge hit and a book comprised of everyone’s photos made a nice souvenir of the day! Cathy and Todd, I wish you a lifetime of happiness! Thank you for having me there to capture such a special and intimate time in your lives!
Also, a special thanks to my second shooter for the reception, Marie Sam, who is always so fun and great to work with!

Ryden, (what a great name) is a spunky, sweet kid who is sure to be the best and coolest big brother ever! I just loved his pirate tattoo, belt and TOMS! What a cutie and so hip like mom and dad! He kept me on my toes chasing him all over! My favorite shots are when he stopped for a few sweet moments with mama!

This session was super last minute as they booked last Thursday for a session the next evening! I was so thrilled that I was able to meet them on such short notice! They were so fun and we were certainly on the same page, our sense of humors meshed well and it was comical how we all engaged trying to get the baby to smile. He was Mr. Serious the first half of the session, but his momma’s nursery version of a rap song, finally made his big smile shine, and was entertaining for all of us!

Their sweet little guy is just five months old, and that’s such a precious age to capture! Surrounded by mom, dad, uncle and his grandparents, he was surely feelin’ the love! Everyone just adores him, how could you not! What a sweetheart he is!

At age two, Jimmy was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, which is devastating news for any family, but the Carroll’s are rock strong and are taking every measure to overcome the obstacles and challenges they are faced with. Their efforts and diligence is proving to work, as Jimmy has had major progress with his cognitive development. He has spoken two words now, “Cheese” and “Ice-tea”, sweet, sweet words to mommy and daddy’s ears! And he’s riding his bike like no body’s business!

It was a beautiful morning at the park and Jimmy was all smiles as he played, climbed and explored! I enjoyed every minute with this sweet family! Their love and dedication to their family is abundant! I know their constant love and patience will be key to upcoming challenges and the progress will be so fulfilling! You’re doing an incredible job mom and dad, Jimmy is a very happy, loving kid! I look forward to seeing you all more often and for photos at least once a year!
